Determination pleases Boly after late draw

Willy Boly paid tribute to Wolves’ determination after his last-minute header earned Wolves a deserved point against Newcastle United.

Wolves appeared to be heading for defeat at Molineux, but like so often already this season, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side refused to give up and Boly powered home Adama Traore’s header at the death. The draw extended Wolves’ unbeaten run to six matches and the attitude of the players and fans pleased the goal scoring hero, Boly.

On the attitude

“The determination is always the same, to win the three points. If we don’t win the three points, we have to keep going like we did.

“Sometimes it’s difficult, we have to stay together and sometimes we score. Even if we had lost the game, it’s OK for us because we know we’ll have done our best.

On breaking down Newcastle

“It’s a great point. We tried to score the first goal, but we didn’t. After they scored, they sat back and it was difficult for us, but we believed and scored at the end.

“We knew they’d come here to defend, but we worked on it in the week. It’s difficult to play against a team that stay in front of the goal, but we tried.”

On the fans’ support

“The support is very important for us because sometimes in a game we are down and when the fans are cheering for us it’s very good, they are always with us and we have to give more.”
