Neves delighted with Jota's treble

Ruben Neves said that the entire Wolves squad was thrilled for Diogo Jota after he turned in a match-winning performance in Saturday's thriller against Leicester City at Molineux.

Jota claimed a hat-trick - including a dramatic injury-time winner - in the 4-3 victory, underlining his importance to Nuno Espirito Santo's side since his return from injury. Neves played his part in the victory as well, producing trademark pinpoint passes to set up Wolves' third and fourth goals. Afterwards, he spoke of his delight for his compatriot.

On Jota's hat-trick

"I'm so happy for the team and for Diogo. He's an unbelievable player - he showed that last season as well. This season he's had an injury but he's come back and worked really hard and had a massive game. We are all really happy for him."

On his passing

"I always try to do my best for the team - I work every day to get better, so that the team gets the best of me. I practice not only with Diogo but with all of the forward options we have. We work during the week with this in mind - to get better and to improve."

On the match as a whole

"It was a great game, and fortunately we came out with the three points so we were able to enjoy it. We can't draw games at home when we've been 2-0 up, but we know that Leicester has a great team as well.

"We needed to stay focused on our work - in football, anything can happen and you have to be ready. We reacted perfectly when they equalised, and that's what we need to do every game, so we will keeping working on our goal which is to improve all of the time.

"It was a great football match and we've had some really exciting ones, but for me this is still not quite as exciting as Cardiff last year, as we were closing in on being champions."
