Nottingham Forest 1-2 Wolves | Full Time

Wolves continued their impressive early season form as a brace from Diogo Jota – making it four goals in his last three games – secured a 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

In a tightly-contested first half Ivan Cavaleiro and Jota saw shots gathered cleanly by Jordan Smith and John Ruddy did the same at the other end from an effort from Kieran Dowell.

Cavaleiro shot over from Wolves from the angle and then Dowell again was a threat for Forest, showing some neat footwork before his attempted chip was claimed by Ruddy.

Leo Bonatini was next to show for Wolves, picking up a loose ball and firing a shot which was deflected narrowly over.

It was within a couple of minutes of the restart that Wolves broke the deadlock.

Cavaleiro produced a sumptuous teasing cross and Jota slid in at the far post to convert.

The game continued to be hotly contested but with few clear cut chances into the 75th minute when Forest substitute Mustapha Carayol produced a blistering shot from the left hand side to bring the hosts level.

But six minutes later Wolves regained the lead, Bonatini playing in Jota who slipped the ball past Smith.
