Evans Joins Wigan On Loan

Midfielder Lee Evans has joined Wigan Athletic on a season long loan.

The Welsh Under-21 international, who has also been called up to the senior squad on two occasions, will be looking to enjoy a similar run of games to that on a previous loan with Bradford City in the 2015/16 season.

On that occasion Evans chalked up 42 appearances and scored four goals as the Bantams reached the League One play-offs.

Evans has made 67 appearances for Wolves since arriving from Newport County in January, 2013, scoring three goals.

With Wolves having added to the central midfield positions during the summer, the 23-year-old was made available for loan and attracted interest from several different clubs.

Everyone at Wolves wishes Lee all the best for his season with Wigan, where he will work under former Molineux midfielder Paul Cook.
