Reflecting on last season, Price said: “It wasn’t our greatest season, pretty average really. The table doesn’t lie.
“I don’t feel like we were as consistent this year as we have been the last couple of years with winning League 1 and just missing out on the play-offs last season.
“We lost some big players as well, Benik Afobe scored a lot of goals for us and that’s not easy to replace.
“It wasn’t terrible, we were never really near the relegation zone.
“There was a spell where the fans were a bit nervous and we needed to win a few games which we did.
“I don’t think we were ever really in danger of going down but we never really challenged to get where we wanted to, the top two.
“We didn’t really achieve that this year but, on the whole, the squad knows we’ve got more in us to get up the table and finish as high as we can.
“We know we’ve got to be more consistent next season. As a team, we just want to finish as high as possible and aim for promotion.
“Wolves is a big club and we want to push it forward."
Looking back over the 2015/16 season on a personal level, the midfielder explained that he would have liked to have featured more for the side.
“Obviously I want to play in 46 league games and I think I’ve only made 22/23 starts so that’s only half of what I really want," said Price.
“Next season I want to play a lot more but that’s not my decision so, when I do play, I’ve got to give my all.
“I felt like I did well in most of the games I played in this season, there were a few where I thought I could have done better.
“On the whole, I was a bit disappointed not to play as many games as I wanted, but it wasn’t a terrible season personally."
The 23-year-old also discussed his growing relationship with the Wolves fans.
“It’s lovely," said Price before adding: "I get a lot of good tweets from fans. After a game or even through the week I very rarely get a bad tweet from a fan or any kind of abuse.
“Hopefully they appreciate me. I think the fans class me as a local lad even though I’m from Shrewsbury.
“It gives you that extra bit of confidence knowing that the fans are backing you so long may that continue."
