Pre-season training camp in Ireland

Wolves set for Cork City friendly

Wolves are to travel to Ireland for a pre-season training camp to include a friendly match against Cork City.

Wolves’ base for their stay from July 17-22 will be the Fota Island Resort training facility, regularly used by football teams and also the base for the Republic of Ireland to prepare ahead of this summer’s European Championships.

The fixture against Cork City is scheduled for the evening of Monday  July 18th, subject to FAI approval, with the kick off time to be confirmed.

Ticket details for the game will be announced when they are finalised.

“The facilities we are heading to come very well recommended,” said Head Coach Kenny Jackett.

“It is a good training base, with excellent facilities, and the Republic of Ireland team will be using the same base before they go to the European Championships – that shows you the quality of the place.

“It will be a good fixture for us to play against Cork City at the start of the week as we continue our preparations for the new season.”

Wolves will announce other pre-season fixtures as and when they are finalised.
