FPL MD16 | Bentley providing budget option

The latest FPL deadline is approaching once again, with managers having until Saturday morning to make their transfers, and wolves.co.uk is here to provide food for thought.

Last time out…

Hee Chan Hwang (£5.7m) | Goals: 8 | Assists: 2 | Next three: NFO (H), WHU (A), CHE (H)

Hee Chan Hwang has been selected by 8.5% of FPL managers – Wolves’ highest – and he rewarded them with a double figure haul against Burnley. The South Korean scored the only goal, earning him five goal points, two performance points, a clean sheet point and two bonus points. He’s scored in all but one Molineux outing this term and is back on home soil this weekend, as Nottingham Forest, who conceded five on Wednesday, visit.

James Trafford (£4.5m) | Clean sheets: 1 | Next three: BHA (A), EVE (H), FUL (A)

Despite not keeping a clean sheet at Molineux, James Trafford top scored for Burnley at Molineux. The stopper made three saves on Tuesday, meaning he earned an additional point to his two match points. The previous weekend he’d scooped seven points against Sheffield United, after keeping his first clean sheet of the season. He travels to Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.

This weekend…

Dan Bentley (£3.9m) | Clean sheets: 2 | Next three: NFO (H), WHU (A), CHE (H)

Dan Bentley’s surprise involvement recently has spiked the interest of FPL managers. The goalkeeper is a budget option at below £4m and has claimed 15 points in his past two games. That’s because the stopper didn’t concede a goal in his subbed appearance at the Emirates, then impressed between the sticks against Burnley, where his final double save proved crucial. Regardless of Jose Sa’s condition, Bentley has given Gary O’Neil food for thought.

Anthony Elanga (£5m) | Goals: 3 | Assists: 3 | Next three: WOL (A), TOT (H), BOU (H)

No Nottingham Forest player scored big in their heavy loss at Fulham on Wednesday. Anthony Elanga and Orel Mangala got two each, which was the highest score. Elanga has been an attacking threat this season, scoring three goals and creating three others. After Molineux, they’ve got a mixed run, with home games, where they’re strong, against Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth.
