Wolves have been giving out Player of the Season awards to the best player in Old Gold during the previous campaign for almost 50 years.
Since the first trophy was handed out at the conclusion of the 1976/7 season, the title of 'Player of the Season' has been given out another 46 times, with the latest coming in May of this year to celebrate the achievements of the 2002/23 Premier League term's outstanding individual.
During the past 47 years, the award has been given to a goalkeeper nine times, a defender has won it on 17 occasions, a midfielder has been the winner nine times and and attacker has claimed the remaining 12 awards.
