Today's goal of the day was a vital finish in Wolves' push for promotion, which ultimately fell short, in the 2001/02 season.
Wolves and Portsmouth were both level heading into the final six minutes of the match at Fratton Park, before Dean Sturridge collected the ball and lifted it over Dave Beasant to secure his side the three points - which took them level on points with Manchester City at the top of the first division.
