Sunday's goal of the day came in a match which was Wolves' only defeat in the opening six games of the 1998/99 season, as Simon Osborn scored a cracker against Barnet.
Although the team made a positive start to their league campaign with four wins from the opening four games, Wolves travelled to Barnet in a League Cup first leg and fell to a 2-1 defeat. However, Osborn's 77th minute strike gave his side a vital away goal (although a 5-0 home win against the Bees a week later was more than enough to see Wolves into the second round!)
