In a season which saw Wolves ultimately relegated to League One, Ebanks-Blake was one of the team's shining lights, scoring his 14th goal of the season as he nodded home from a matter of yards to put Wolves 2-0 ahead at St Andrews.
The number nine would then go on to score a penalty to put Wolves three goals ahead before his old gold career was cut short later in that match when his leg was broken following a challenge from Paul Robinson. Ebanks-Blake, who scored 64 times in 193 games for the club, was ruled out for the season run-in and Wolves went down.
