Premier League football returned as a brilliant Wolves season peaked against Saturday’s opponents, QPR back in 2009.

Mick McCarthy’s men had occupied top spot in the Championship since October, and they were rewarded when a 1-0 win over the Londoners saw them over the line.

Fittingly, leading goal scorer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake netted the only goal just after half-time to spark tremendous scenes at Molineux.

Having taken over in 2006, McCarthy slowly built his Wolves side and it came to fruition when he took the club back to the top tier, five years after their relegation.

Team that day: Hennessey, Foley, Craddock, Ward (Stearman), Berra, Edwards, Henry, Jarvis, Jones (Vokes), Ebanks-Blake (Harewood), Keogh.

Naturally, a display for this brilliant achievement sits in the Molineux Museum and it’s worth a visit.

Come visit the Molineux Museum today and make the most a special offer in place, where an adult and child can enter for just £12, after the open training session. Click here for more information.
