Wolves Foundation are providing youngsters with an opportunity to follow the steps of their football heroes by taking part in a 7-a-side tournament on the hallowed turf of Molineux.
On Sunday 19th May 2019 teams of up to 12 can compete in the Community Cup 2019 on the Molineux pitch Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota have graced this season.
From 9am-1pm under-9s and under-10s will compete, before under-11s and under-12s take to Molineux between 3pm-7pm.
The price of a team stands at £150 and is available here or by calling: 01902 828366.
All teams will receive a team photo and certificate of participation, with the winners taking home a medal and team trophy.
Spectators are welcome to watch the game from the Molineux stands, and sharing photos is welcomed on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook by tagging @wwfcfoundation and #WolvesCommunityCup.
- How many teams?
There is a maximum of 15 teams per age group. The teams will be split into pools, with a final to decide the winner. Timings will be confirmed nearer the time, but every team will play at least four games.
- How many players?
Each team can have a maximum of 12 players.
- What age groups?
We are running competitions in U9s, U10s, U11s and U12s. Teams should enter the age group that they have competed in for this season (2018-2019).
- What will my players get?
Each player will receive a certificate of participation. The winners will receive a team trophy and individual medals, and the runners up will receive a medal.
- What can parents do whilst the competition is on?
The WV1 Bar in the Stan Cullis stand will be open. Parents and teams can pre order food for the day and the bar will be serving drinks and snacks. Parents can then watch all the games from the Stan Cullis Stand.
- How will the competition start?
On arrival, teams will be asked to register and then make their way down the tunnel. There will be a managers’ briefing prior to kick-off to confirm all the details. Players will then walk out of the tunnel, to the Molineux fanfare and the games will commence.
- How will the presentation happen?
We will encourage all teams to stay and take part in the presentation and applaud the winning teams as they make their way up the Molineux steps to collect their trophy.
