Wolves-mad couple, Lee Davies and Carryann Copestick are tonight celebrating a £100,000 National Lottery Red Scratchcard win.
The couple, who are saving up for a wedding next year, were at Molineux on Friday morning to celebrate with Steve Bull and a glass of champagne.
“I just couldn’t believe my luck and the amazing timing of it all,” Lee said. “It’s just so perfect, not just for the wedding but to help us buy a home for us and our three children.
“The win means we can also treat our family. The money will look after us all for a few years and set us up. It’s not a huge amount, just a nice tidy sum.”
Lee, who works as a shipping clerk for Amazon in Rugeley, took a punt on two red scratchcards at his local newsagents in Wolverhampton and hit the jackpot.
“I went to the ATM and for some reason decided to buy a couple of scratchcards. I don’t normally buy them but I had a strange feeling and was drawn to the colour of the red scratchcard.
“I won a pound on the first one and then scratched the second and it said I had won £100,000. I nervously showed the staff and they were absolutely brilliant and delighted for me.
“I walked in and just said ‘we can have the wedding of our dreams now’. Carryann just stared at me before asking how it was all possible so I told her about the win. She didn’t believe me.”
Lee and Carryann have a wedding date planned for June 2018 so will enjoy planning stress-free and take their children abroad for the first time on holiday.
