Non-League Day Takes Centre Stage

With Wolves out of action this weekend due to the international break, attention turns to Non-League Day, with AFC Telford United amongst the options for supporters searching for a game.

Wolves currently have three players on loan at the New Bucks Head, with Connor Johnson and Aaron Hayden hoping to face Boston United on Saturday, although Aaron Simpson is out injured.

Telford, managed by former Wolves defender Rob Edwards, are currently 16th on 15 points after 12 games in the National League North, three points ahead of Saturday’s opponents, Boston.

Elsewhere, Stourbridge and Hednesford Town are amongst the other local clubs in home action, taking on Halesown Town and Witton Albion respectively.

Stourbridge sit three points off the top of the Evo-Stik Premier Division with 13 games gone and they’ll hope for another victory against rock bottom Halesown Town, who have picked up nine points so far.

Meanwhile, Hednesford, where Connor Levingston is currently on loan, sit in mid-table of the same division but a victory is likely to see them jump into the top half and certainly above opponents Witton Albion.

There’s also Buildabase FA Trophy action for Chasetown, who take on Market Drayton Town.

As for the Midland Football League Premier Division, AFC Wulfrunians and Lye Town are in action, while Walsall Wood, Heath Hayes and Paget Rangers compete in Division One on Saturday.
