Matchday Guide | Wolves vs Aston Villa

Wolves return to Molineux on Friday evening for the first of three home matches in succession as the Old Gold host a Premier League clash with Aston Villa, and here’s all you need to know if you’re attending the fixture.

Key matchday information

Friday evening’s fixture is the Wolves Foundation Focus fixture. Players will wear the Wolves Foundation logo on their shirts and on the back of their walkout jackets.

The hugely popular Wolves Disability FC half time fixture will return this Friday night as part of the annual Focus Fixture for Wolves Foundation, the club’s official charity. More information can be found here.

There will also be a light show ahead of kick-off on Wednesday evening, which will contain continuous flashing lights. If you need any assistance or further information, please contact fanservices@wolves.co.uk.

Tickets

Remaining tickets for this fixture are on general sale (to all supporters who had registered for a ticketing account prior to 3rd February 2026) and can be purchased via the ticketing website or by calling 0371 222 1877.

Season ticket holders must use their smartcard at the turnstiles.

All other tickets were sent as Print at Home to a linked email. If these have not been received, contact Fan Services at fanservices@wolves.co.uk.

Print at Home tickets can also be displayed on a mobile device by scanning the QR code at the turnstiles.

For any ticket issues on the day, visit the ticket office before kick-off.

Reminder for supporters to be respectful of local residents, businesses and charities

Supporters are reminded that when visiting or leaving Molineux on a matchday, they should remain respectful to local residents, businesses, and charities surrounding the stadium.

We ask supporters to dispose of any litter in the numerous bins located around the outside of the ground and to refrain from littering on private or public property.

We also want to remind supporters to be mindful of nuisance parking. Please ensure you are not blocking driveways, parking outside residents’ homes, or leaving vehicles in prohibited areas.

There are numerous car parks located across the city centre, and supporters can also secure a space in advance at the official Science Car Park here.

Matchday WhatsApp channel

We now use the Wolves matchday WhatsApp channel for important matchday updates, which can be found here.

Wolves recommend following this channel for key matchday updates and turning on notifications to receive timely alerts.

Kit information

Wolves will be wearing our 2025/26 old gold and black home shirt, with the black shorts. The goalkeeper will be wearing the black goalkeeper shirt, and black shorts.

Aston Villa will be wearing their claret and blue home shirt, with the white shorts. The goalkeeper will be wearing the red goalkeeper shirt, and red shorts.

Weather forecast

A partly cloudy evening is forecast at Molineux on Friday night, with temperatures expected to be around seven degrees Celsius at the time of kick-off.

Reported travel disruption

Full closure of the M5 northbound to M6 southbound link road. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted during all closures.

Entering the stadium 

Supporters must enter via the turnstile block shown on their ticket or smartcard.

Security checks, including bag searches, will take place at the turnstiles. Bags larger than A4 are not permitted, and fans may be asked to open their own bags. All supporters aged 14 and over will be searched by a steward.

Molineux Fan Zone

Kick off your matchday in the Molineux Fan Zone - located next to Block 5 of the Sir Jack Hayward Stand, from 5pm on Friday, with live music, delicious food and drink.

North Bank Bar

The North Bank Bar, next to Block ND of the Stan Cullis Stand, opens from around 6pm for season ticket holders and members.

Entry is subject to capacity, and junior supporters are welcome.

Food and drink

Concourse catering kiosks will be open inside the stadium for this fixture serving food hot and cold drinks and alcoholic drinks.

Ticket Office

The ticket office is located between the Stan Cullis and Billy Wright Stands and will be open for in-person visits from 3pm until just after kick-off.

Their phone lines (0371 222 1877) will be open from 9am and will close at 6pm.

Molineux Megastore

Molineux Megastore is located in the Stan Cullis Stand and will be open from 10am up until kick-off.

Fan Services

Fan Services will be available from 10am on matchday by phone (01902 810 485, until 6pm) and email (fanservices@wolves.co.uk, until kick-off).

Matchday Programme

The matchday programme is focused on Jose Sa whose in-depth interview features inside. We also hear from Rob Edwards, Adam Armstrong and Hugo Bueno in the latest edition.

There is also several pages dedicated to the Wolves Foundation as Friday evening's is raising awareness for the club's official charity.

Programmes, priced at £4, are available to buy by from the Molineux Megastore, from the various programme sellers around the stadium and from the catering kiosks. Supporters not attending the fixture can purchase online through programme retailers Curtis Sports.

Wolves Museum & 1877 Sports Bar

Wolves Museum is not open for general admission on match days, due to the exclusive 1877 Sports Bar package running pre and post-match within the Wolves Museum.

The 1877 Sports Bar package is available for all matchdays but must be prebooked. Walk in entry is not available for the 1877 Sports Bar.

Travelling to Molineux

With high matchday traffic, we ask supporters to consider eco-friendly travel options such as public transport to help reduce congestion and parking issues around Molineux.

Parking

Supporters can check availability for official matchday parking and book spaces here. Details of further council owned car parks in the city can be found here.

Road closures

Matchday road closures will be in place for supporter safety. These are as follows:

  • Waterloo Road: Closed 90 mins before kick-off until 15–30 mins after full-time.
  • Molineux Street & Sir Jack Hayward Way: Closed 1 hour before kick-off.
  • Whitmore Hill: Closed 30 mins before kick-off.

Car parks will remain closed until cleared under the discretion of the matchday safety officer.

Reporting incidents

At Wolves, we are One Pack. We are committed to a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all. Discrimination, abuse, or anti-social behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

If you witness or experience offensive behaviour, report it to a steward or text WOLVES to 07723 479887 with your location, a description of the person, and incident details. Reports are handled discreetly.

Wolves actively work to eliminate hate and abuse both in the stadium and online. ‘Not in our Pack’ means racism, homophobia, sexism, and discrimination have no place here. Offenders risk lifetime bans.

Disabled supporters

The Century Lounge will be open for this fixture, offering an accessible space with seating and toilets for disabled supporters. Located in the lower Stan Cullis Stand opposite NL1, but wheelchairs cannot be stored there during the match. For info, email fanservices@wolves.co.uk.

Audio description commentary is available for fans who need live, detailed game updates. Pre-book by emailing Fan Services; headsets are delivered to your seat. Available to both home and away supporters.

Disabled liaison stewards, in dark blue jackets, are on hand to help, with trained staff at wheelchair areas in all stands.

Away supporters

Away supporters are located in the Steve Bull lower for this fixture and can enter the ground via turnstile 3.  

Visiting supporters now have the choice of two pub/bars, ‘Twelve’ and ‘The Prince Albert’, which are both located in walking distance from Molineux and the away coach car park and accessed via Fryer Street.

Accessible parking for away fans at Molineux (Stan Cullis Stand) is now sold out.

Leaving Molineux

After the final whistle, roads around Molineux become heavily congested. Walking routes to the city centre are available.

Official car parks reopen 10–20 minutes after the game, subject to the matchday safety officer’s discretion.

Friendly stewards will be present to assist supporters as they leave.
