Jose Sa’s quick release found Cunha in his own half and he carried the ball forward, beat two Forest defender and rifled an unstoppable shot in off the post to give his side the lead.
The goal, which is also a contender for the club’s Goal of the Season award from Gary O’Neil’s group, is one of eight goals up for the monthly Premier League honour.
Nominated alongside the links of Kevin De Bruyne and Cole Palmer, Cunha will learn if he’s been successful when the winner is announced on Friday 10th May.
