Seven Wolves representatives at World Cup

Wolves will have seven representatives at the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico this summer.

Goalkeeper Jose Sa is heading to his second World Cup with Portugal, while Santiago Bueno will represent Uruguay, having missed out on the final squad in Qatar four years ago.

Ladislav Krejci is set to lead the Czech Republic out as captain in North America, while David Moller Wolfe will feature in Norway’s first World Cup appearance since 1998.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde will also be making his World Cup debut with Haiti, while for Hee Chan Hwang, it’s his third with South Korea, having represented his nation in Russia in 2018 and Qatar in 2022.

Sasa Kalajdzic, back fit following an impressive loan spell at LASK, has been called up by Austria, having previously played at Euro 2020, but never at a World Cip.

Unfortunately, Joao Gomes didn’t make Brazil’s final 26-man squad, likewise Yerson Mosquera with Colombia squad and Enso Gonzalez with Paraguay.
