Wolves launch The Football Gods podcast

Legendary Three Lions goalkeeper David Seaman is the first guest on the new podcast from Wolves Studios: The Football Gods.

Hosted by broadcaster Kate Mason and Wolves fan and journalist Tim Spiers, The Football Gods sees famous faces within the beautiful game and celebrity football fans take the role of a footballing God for the duration of each show.

Each guest is given the platform to ponder the important questions they would need to answer if they were given the ultimate power over the sport, and in episode one, Seaman delves into VAR, the offside rule, Arsène Wenger’s revolutionary diet and David Beckham’s ponytail.

Hosted by global sport podcast network Sport Social, which is owned and operated by Voiceworks Sport, in partnership with Wolves and Wolves Studios, The Football Gods will see a new celebrity each week granted total power to shape football to their whim.

The Football Gods will feature the great and good from sports broadcasting, commentary, comedy and music, former and current footballers, as well as a host of Wolves guests throughout the first season.

Former Express and Star Wolves reporter and Athletic journalist Spiers said: "Basically we want our guests to go power crazy and use their newfound godly status as wisely or liberally as they wish.

"The Football Gods is a great way to tap into the football nostalgia and creative minds of people who share mine and Kate's love for the beautiful game.

"There is no one better to start this journey into immortality with than David Seaman, an iconic No.1 goalkeeper and lovely bloke who shares some amazing stories."

The Football Gods is available now to stream on all major podcast platforms. Listen today on Spotify, Apple or Amazon Podcasts.
