Wolves issue membership and match by match ticket policy update

Following feedback from supporters, Wolves have issued the following membership and match-by-match ticket policy update, to clarify the ticket priority window for members for the 2021/22 season.

Undoubtedly, one of the most magical parts of being a Wolves fan is experiencing live matches at Molineux and supporting our team from the stands.

But with the stadium at capacity for the vast majority of games in recent seasons, the club believes it is vital that all supporters, young and old, and regardless of how long they have been a fan, have some ability to access match tickets.

Without this, a generation of Wolves supporters will miss out on experiencing football as it should be enjoyed, up close and in person.

Of course, there are supporters who have annually amassed a considerable number of loyalty points, which has helped them gain priority access to match-by-match tickets, and those supporters have been at the forefront of the club’s decision-making process when structuring the new look 2021/22 priority ticketing window policy.

As a result, the membership plans for the 2021/22 season take a balanced approach to providing priority to high match attenders from the 2019/20 season, whilst also offering a window of opportunity for new members, and supporters who have not been able to amass a large numbers of loyalty points due to negligible opportunities to purchase tickets.

The club wants to reassure supporters that its membership schemes will remain under constant review and will be developed in partnership with fan consultation groups, more information on which can be found here.

Membership Plus

New for the 2021/22 season, is Membership Plus. Membership Plus has been designed specifically to recognise members who purchased a significant number of tickets during the 2019/20 season, since loyalty points reset on an annual basis.

For its inaugural season, Membership Plus will only be available to those members who acquired more than 240 loyalty points during the 2019/20 season, equating to a total of 3,500 supporters. Those members will have received an invitation via email earlier this week.

Following supporter feedback, Wolves have reviewed the scheme and made some changes:

  • For its inaugural season, the Membership Plus supplement will be free of charge (rather than £20 and £15 for juniors, as originally communicated). In future seasons, Membership Plus prices will be launched at the same time as other membership packages.
  • There will be a maximum of 3,500 Membership Plus places available and these will be eligible to supporters to claim. Supporters have until Friday 30th July to opt-in to the Membership Plus scheme from their new email invite.
  • Membership Plus holders will have a ticket pool of 1,500 tickets available for every game and a minimum of 48-hour priority window to access them, before they go on sale to other membership groups.
  • Members opted into the Membership Plus scheme will have the opportunity to purchase within this priority window for a maximum of six Premier League home games. Of course, those members will still have the opportunity to purchase tickets within the Members priority window ahead of general sale.

Wolves can confirm that any member that has already upgraded at the £20 or £15 supplement, will receive a full refund within 28 days.

My Wolves, #WolfPack, Young Wolves and International Members

In the spirit of providing more supporters with the opportunity to access match tickets, for the 2021/22 season, 1,500 tickets will be made available to My Wolves, #WolfPack, Young Wolves and International Members for every game.

These membership groups will have a two-week priority window (shorter for Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United fixtures in August) to purchase tickets before they go on general sale and will be made available on a first come first served basis.

More information on how you can become a member is available here.

Loyalty points

Wolves have issued loyalty points for tickets purchased since 2004, and since 2017 these loyalty points have been reset every season.

Like in previous seasons, members will start with an opening balance of 100 points and acquire points every time they purchase a ticket. The initial 100-point balance for 2021/22 members will appear in accounts on or before the 26th July.

These loyalty points then build up over the course of the season and will continue to be used for away match and cup priority windows.
