Vinagre Saturday's programme focus

Ruben Vinagre has been enjoying a run of games in the Wolves side of late and takes centre stage in official matchday programme on Saturday.

The youngster has been brilliantly painted by Louise Cobbold for the cover and is the feature interview inside, discussing his progression under Nuno Espirito Santo, along with much more.

Vinagre joins the likes of Leander Dendoncker, Stephen Ward and Rohan Ricketts inside, with snippets of the wing-back’s interview available below, and the full version in Saturday’s programme.

“This is my third season with Nuno. He’s good and he’s made me grow a lot, especially on my defensive technic – when I got here that was my weakest point. Usually when we are training, he watches us and identifies any mistakes we are making and he gets us to one side to tell us how we can improve.

“At Sporting I played on the left wing and in my last year there they started putting me as a full-back. So, I started to take my first steps in this position there and it was a great decision they made because I love playing as a wing-back. Sporting is known for being a great school, so I learned and grew a lot as professional there.

“When I was young, I used to play a lot of street football with friends and I think my step-overs come from there. I’ve brought step-overs into my game and, of course, I learnt from Cristiano Ronaldo –I’ve become inspired by him and I’m still inspired by him – I like technical players and I try and bring this into my game.”

The latest edition, priced at £3.50, will be available from around Molineux and at shop.wolves.co.uk.
