Man City vs Wolves | Supporter information

Wolves are taking on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with thousands of supporters expected to make the journey to the north-west.

A sold-out allocation of more than 3,000 supporters will travel the Premier League clash to cheer on Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, who are looking at making it three wins on the bounce following Thursday night’s Europa League win away in Istanbul against Besiktas.

Supporters are being advised get to the Etihad within plenty of time before the 2pm kick off on Sunday 6th October to allow for security checks, as well as being warned that bags are not allowed in the visiting section of the stadium and there is no storage facility available.

Matchday information

Pubs in the local vicinity of the stadium are generally used by home supporters and drinking is not allowed in public areas across Greater Manchester, meaning fans are advised to stay in the City Centre if they are looking for a pre-match drink.

Away fans are welcome in City Square, which is the home fanzone, and although away supporters cannot go on the bars at City Square, they can watch the onstage entertainment and buy food from the kiosks, starting at 11.30am.

City’s dedicated tram stop, Etihad Campus, is adjacent to the stadium, located in City Square, with journey time from Manchester Piccadilly less than 10-minutes. On matchdays, trams run to and from the stadium stop every six minutes. Tickets must be purchased before travel and ticket machines are located on every Metrolink platform.

Please note that both Holt Town and Velopark Metrolink stops, located on either side of the Etihad Campus stop, will not be open for at least an hour after an event at the Stadium.

For supporters who are driving to the Etihad, road closures operate immediately after a match to allow pedestrians to leave the stadium safely and are in place for about 20 minutes after the match. Roads affected by the closures are Ashton New Road – between Alan Turing Way and Darley Street, Grey Mare Lane – between Ashton New Road and Alan Turing Way and Merrill Street – between Pollard Street and Ashton New Road.
