Asia Trophy fan guide to help supporters in China

Wolves are set to jet off to China for the first time ever this weekend as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side step up their pre-season preparations by competing in the Premier League Asia Trophy.

Following a fantastic 2018/19 season, Wolves will be making their first appearance in the biennial Premier League competition which will be held in the Chinese cities of Nanjing and Shanghai.

The team will play two fixtures, with a semi-final against Newcastle United taking place in Nanjing on Wednesday 17th July, before a second fixture of either a final or third-place play-off against either Manchester City or West Ham United in Shanghai on Saturday 20th July.

The team are set to be supported by a significant number of fans travelling from the UK, and to help out the supporters who are due to follow Wolves to the far east, we’ve put together a guide to provide travelling fans with as much information ahead of their trip ensure they make the most of their visit to China.

The Asia Trophy 2019 Fan Guide includes information such as the dates, times and locations of fan events, including the opening of the Wolves China Megastore, a Tsingtao beer festival and an exhibition based on the book “They Wore The Shirt” by Steve Plant.

The guide details the two matches Nuno’s men will play, including pre-match ticket collection at both the Olympic Sports Centre in Nanjing and Hongkou Stadium in Shanghai and information on fan activities taking place at the venues.

There is also information regarding what to visit in Shanghai, travel tips and the etiquette do’s and don’ts of China, how to say basic Chinese phrases, useful contacts while in China and the best ways to stay in touch with family and friends back in the UK.
