Ebanks-Landell bids farewell to Wolves

Ethan Ebanks-Landell has ended his long association with Wolves by joining Shrewsbury Town on a permanent deal.

The defender joined Wolves at the age of nine and rose through the club’s Academy system to make his senior debut against Morecambe in the League Cup in August 2013.

Having played his part in the club’s promotion to the Championship that same season before injury struck, Ebanks-Landell recovered and continued his progression in the second tier.

Under Kenny Jackett, the 26-year-old surpassed 50 games in gold and black, netting home and away in two six-goal thrillers with Millwall in 2014/15.

Ebanks-Landell’s final appearance for the club came at Middlesbrough in March 2016, with his final goal coming in the previous December against Nottingham Forest at Molineux.

Since then, the defender has spent the majority of the past three seasons out on loan, most recently at Rochdale where he played regularly during the second half of the 2018/19 campaign.

He now reunites with Sam Ricketts, who he partnered in the Wolves defence back in 2013/14, as they prepare for a fresh League One campaign with the Shrews.
