Nuno and Boly up for Premier League awards

Nuno Espirito Santo and Willy Boly have been nominated for Premier League monthly awards after a positive September at Molineux.

Wolves took ten points from 12 available during the month, beating West Ham United, Burnley and Southampton, as well as drawing at Old Trafford.

The success at London Stadium was Wolves’ first top-flight victory since February 2012 and was followed up with two more three-point hauls at Molineux.

Nuno is now in contention for the Manager of the Month award and is up against Unai Emery of Arsenal, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

In September the defence, featuring Willy Boly in the back three for every second of the month, conceded just one goal.

The Frenchman boasted an 83 per cent passing accuracy during September and 60 per cent tackle success in a month he enjoyed three clean sheets.

He has taken to the Premier League quickly and has been recognised for his efforts as one of six players nominated for Player of the Month.

He’s competing with Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal), James Maddison (Leicester), Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton) and Raheem Sterling (Man City).

Voting in now open here, with the winners of both awards announced on Friday 12th October.
