The ticket office can now be reached on 0371 222 1877, whilst the main switchboard number is 0371 222 2220.
Both numbers have changed by just one digit, but will save supporters up to 13p per minute plus their providers access charge, with calls to 03 numbers counting towards any inclusive minutes included in mobile, BT or other fixed line packages.
All switchboard options will remain the same, with the Wolves Megastore on option one, directions and match information on option two, ticket office on option three, corporate hospitality on option four, conferencing and events on option five and Wolves in the community on option six.
Wolves managing director Laurie Dalrymple said: “Whilst many supporters are moving to booking tickets and buying merchandise online, there are still a large number who prefer to pick up the phone, and we really hope those people see a tangible benefit from this change.”
Wolves’ move to national rate 03 numbers has also been praised by the Fair Telecoms Campaign.
“Well done Wolves,” said campaigner David Hickson. “The benefit derived from using 084/087 numbers is dwarfed by the Access Charge cost incurred by callers, which can be up to 55p per minute at present.
“There are many other clubs and business that should be making this same move, by switching to the equivalent 034/037 number.”
