Annual Memorial Service

Chance to remember Wolves fans who have passed away.

Wolves are once again inviting supporters to pay tribute to loved ones they have lost at the Annual Memorial Service at St Peter’s Collegiate Church in the City Centre.

This year’s service will take place at 6pm on Tuesday, April 3rd, ahead of the evening fixture against Hull City at Molineux (7.45pm). The service, at which fans can remember their loved ones both by name and by lighting a candle, is expected to last 45 minutes, leaving plenty of time for the congregation to make their way to the stadium for kick-off.

The service will be led by Wolves’ Club Chaplain, the Rector of Wolverhampton, Rev Preb David Wright and all supporters are welcome and encouraged to wear club colours if they wish.

The service offers an alternative way for the club and fans to remember and celebrate the lives of members of the ‘Wolves family’ no longer with us, and the opportunity for loved ones to be remembered either individually or as a group.

“It is a privilege to once again be asked to lead the annual service of remembrance where people can remember those members of the Wolves family who are no longer with us,” says Preb Wright.

“Remembering plays an important part in all of our lives and we look forward to welcoming supporters to give thanks to those whom they love that have passed away.

“It is always a poignant service, and the chance for the football club and the community to come together and recognise the lives and the contributions of so many who shared a passion for the football club and the city of Wolverhampton as a whole."

Supporters are requested to email fans@wolves.co.uk with the names of loved ones they wish to remember during the service, and these will be printed and handed out on the day. Please send an email before 5pm on Friday 30th March 2018 to be included.
