International | Bradbury representing Wales at U17 Euros

Makenzie Bradbury’s Wales were beaten by Denmark in the opening game of the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals.

The first-year scholar is part of the Cymru squad competing in the tournament in Cyprus having been selected in Craig Knight’s 20-strong camp.

Bradbury started Monday’s Group B opener, playing 79 minutes as goals either side of the break from Arsenal’s Chidozie Obi and Sofus Johannesen sealed a 2-0 victory for Denmark.

Wales play their second group fixture against Austria on Thursday evening (6.30pm UK time) before facing Croatia in game three on Sunday afternoon.

Still only 16, Bradbury was a regular feature for Richard Walker’s under-18s throughout the 2023/24 campaign.

The midfielder played 19 times across the U18 Premier League season scoring three goals, as the Old Gold recorded their highest ever finish in the division and also reached the U17 PL Cup final.

On the international stage, Bradbury has been a mainstay in the youth ranks with Wales and, this season, has stepped up to the under-17 group.
