James Collins’ under-23 side will compete in Premier League 2 Division 2 this year, following their relegation last time out, getting their season underway with a home time against Burnley on Saturday.
As well as being the first time Wolves will play Burnley in a league fixture, due to the Clarets side being one of three new inductees into Premier League 2, the match – which is due to kick-off at 12pm – will also be a first match at the under-23s new ‘home’ venue of Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggborough Stadium.
The under-23s will meet another new addition to the league in their second match on Monday 21st September, travelling to the Thorp Arch Training Ground to take on Leeds United, just a few weeks after Collins’ men overcame the same side by two goals to one in a pre-season friendly.
Games against Stoke City and Aston Villa shortly follow, before the development side’s first Black Country Derby of the season takes place at The Hawthorns on Monday 14th December. The reverse fixture will see Albion visit Aggborough on Sunday 18th April.
The final home match of the season sees Norwich City the visitors to Kidderminster on Sunday 25th April, before a final day match-up with Reading at Royal’s training ground five days later.
In addition to the Premier League 2 fixtures, the under-23s will also be competing in the EFL Trophy as an under-21 side, with their first match in that competition now due to take place on Tuesday 22nd September, due to Oldham Athletic’s progression in the Carabao Cup.

The under-18s have also discovered their first opponents for the upcoming U18 Premier League North season this week, with Steve Davis’ young Wolves travelling to Manchester City on Saturday.
Four away games will follow for the under-18s, with their subsequent three Saturdays including trips to Burnley, Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City.
It isn’t until Saturday 17th October until the side will play their opening home league match of the campaign, taking on Derby County at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground in an 11am kick-off.
The final home match of the under-18s’ season will see Davis’ boys host Everton at Compton Park on 1st May, before visiting Newcastle United on the final day.
