Chelsea vs Wolves | U18 Match preview

Wolves under-18s will be aiming to continue their impressive run in this season’s FA Youth Cup as they travel south to take on Chelsea with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.

Steve Davis’ young team beat Nottingham Forest on their Molineux debut ahead of Christmas as their quest for glory in the prestigious youth competition got underway, before taking down Crystal Palace in the fourth round thanks to goals by Jed Abbey and Theo Corbeanu.

Wolves, who currently sit eighth in the U18 Premier League North, will take on a Chelsea side who are in second place in the U18 Premier League South with ten wins from their 15 league matches so far this season. The two teams have already played each other earlier this season, with Chelsea netting a last-minute winner in a 3-2 U18 Premier League Cup victory.

The winner of Monday night’s fifth round tie will move on to play either AFC Bournemouth or Millwall in the quarter-finals.
