Lead 17-23 Recruitment Officer

Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club are looking to appoint a Full Time Lead 17-23 Recruitment Officer to join their expanding Category One Academy Recruitment Team.

MAIN ROLE

To review, evaluate and develop a scouting system for the Academy, covering the UK and Europe that will allow Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Wolves) to identify and recruit players that will play a major role in the success of our teams.

KEY DUTIES

A clear understanding of the Club Culture, Philosophy, Club Operations Document, Academy Performance Plan and requirement of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).

Managing and implementing the Club Recruitment Philosophy across the U17-U23 age groups of the Academy.

Gain a detailed understanding of players currently in the Wolves System, to determine player opportunities for progression and complete succession plans, highlighting recruitment priorities.

Identification and recruitment of players to Wolves Academy in line with the player profiles.

Communicate effectively with the Academy Manager, National Recruitment Officer (12-16), Club Head of Recruitment and Sporting Director on identified players.

Prepare detailed player reports as part of a stringent process to support the successful signing of identified players.

Develop and maintain a database of player details at all required levels through appropriate mechanisms of reporting.

Further development of the scouting infrastructure to ensure appropriate coverage of UK and European leagues.

Responsibility for managing and supporting the Professional Phase Regional scouts, ensuring there is a clear strategy in place for the recruitment of players.

Manage the Recruitment Budget, including scouts expenses.

Be an ambassador of the W.O.L.V.E.S Culture and philosophy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a similar role in an Academy environment.

FA Talent Identification Award (desirable or working towards).

Up to date Talent ID certificate.

Fully enhanced DBS Check & Up to date Child Protection Certificate.

Full Driving Licence

Primarily Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground.

Local, National & International Travel when relevant.
