Merrick Will

Merrick Will made the switch to Wolves Women from Coventry United (now Rugby Borough) ahead of the 2023/24 FAWNL campaign.

Will became Dan McNamara’s third addition of that summer and brought experience and quality to the Old Gold’s engine room.

Having previously spent four seasons in Women’s Super League 2 with London Bees, Will also enjoyed time in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division with Oxford United, alongside stints in the second tier at Millwall and Watford.

In her first season in gold and black, Will was a regular in the centre of the pitch under McNamara, turning out 14 times in the league, while scoring once. While off the pitch, Will also works full-time for Wolves within the academy’s operations department and is an ambassador for the club’s One Pack, One Planet sustainability campaign.

Towards the end of her first full season at the club, during the first half of Wolves’ 3-0 victory at AFC Fylde, Will was stretchered from the pitch with scans revealing she had suffered a ruptured ACL and damaged meniscus in her right knee.

The midfielder missed the entirety of the 2024/25 season due to her injury, and is continuing her return to fitness at Compton Park.
