Women's Preview | Rugby Borough

Wolves Women return to the SEAH Stadium for Thursday evening action as they take on Rugby Borough in the FA WNL looking to close the gap to one point at the top.

Dan McNamara’s side take on Borough looking to make it four wins in a row in all competitions and maintain their unbeaten home league record that stretches back to September 2024. This match could have a crucial impact as the Old Gold look to keep the pressure on league leaders Burnley

Setting the Scene

Wolves retained Black Country bragging rights on Sunday with a 1-0 win over West Brom at Molineux, thanks to Amber Hughes’ header. That win was also the eighth clean sheet Wolves have kept in nine games since the turn of the year but will now face a free-scoring Rugby who could confirm third place with three points.

Third placed Rugby head to Telford on the back of a 2-1 win against Sporting Khalsa on Sunday thanks to two late strikes. That was their third win in five league matches.
