Women's Preview | West Bromwich Albion

Wolves Women face a Black Country Derby in their final fixture of 2025 this Sunday as they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Alexander Stadium.

Wolves go into the game knowing that just a point would take them to the FA WNL summit in time for Christmas and would also ensure they end 2025 without a single league defeat in the calendar year.

Setting the Scene

For the first time this season, the Old Gold come into a game having lost the previous fixture after a narrow defeat to tier two side Nottingham Forest in the Adobe Women's FA Cup third round last Saturday at Hednesford. In the league the last fixture was a 5-1 win over Liverpool Feds which extended the unbeaten run to 30 matches.

West Brom were 3-0 winners over lower tier Leeds United in their cup clash, with their previous fixture being a goalless draw against Loughborough Lightning at the Alexander Stadium. They come into the game in 5th place in the FA WNL, knowing a win could leapfrog Stoke into 4th spot.
