Wolves Women set for Channel 4 in Adobe Women's FA Cup

Wolves Women will make history once again with their Adobe Women’s FA Cup Third Round tie against Nottingham Forest having been chosen for Channel 4’s first ever broadcast in the competition.

The match will take place on Saturday, 13th December with a 12.15pm kick-off and will be hosted at Hednesford Town’s Keys Park due to the SEAH Stadium being unavailable. As well as free-to-air Channel 4, the match will be simulcast on TNT Sports 1.

The Old Gold’s second round match on TNT Sports against Stoke City was the first time the team had ever been shown on mainstream national television, but this fixture against Forest will be Channel 4’s first ever broadcast of the competition as part of their new rights deal with FA from the third round onwards.

The match will also see a match up between two of last season’s FA WNL heavyweights, with Forest pipping Wolves to the title on the final day. Forest’s title winning captain that day was Lyndsey Harkin – now Wolves no.2 – while Amy Sims also swapped the East for West Midlands in the summer, joining Becky Anderson and Charlotte Greengrass who made the move one summer previous.

It will also not be the first time the two have met in the FA Cup, with a fourth tier Wolves side captained by Anna Price shocking third tier Forest on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Castlecroft in 2021.

Ticket information for the clash will be confirmed shortly.
