It’s a quick turnaround for Wolves Women this week as Sporting Khalsa visit the SEAH Stadium on Wednesday night in a 7.45pm kick-off.
For only the second time this season it’s midweek football for Dan McNamara’s side as they look to continue their incredible start to the season that has seen 12 undefeated matches.
Setting the Scene
The Old Gold head into Wednesday night on the back of a 2-1 win over Rugby Borough in the first round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday, with goals coming from Amy Sims and Georgia Marshall.

It is the first league game in three weeks for the side after three consecutive cup matches that have seen Wolves plunder 19 goals with only one in reply.
Sporting Khalsa were also victorious in the cup on Sunday, beating Loughborough Lightning on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time during which Wolves loanee Skye Owen scored a stunning volley.
Last Time Out
The two sides met just under three weeks ago in the FA WNL Cup, with Wolves running out 5-0 winners at the Guardian Warehousing Arena. Amy Sims scored inside a minute before Chloe Williams, Louanne Worsey, Georgia Marshall and Amber Hughes all followed up with goals for a comprehensive win.
