Charlotte Greengrass praised her teammates as Wolves Women beat Hednesford Town Ladies 12-0 in the Birmingham County Cup.
The forward scored six of the goals as the Old Gold were clinical in the final third after the interval.
Greengrass shared her thoughts on her goals, as well as the performance and the various cup competitions that Wolves have played in so far this season.
On the performance
“We came in at half time and we maybe weren’t too pleased with how we had played.
“To come out in the second half and put in the performance that we did was really pleasing.
“We got good minutes into people, so overall [I’m] happy and into the next round.”
On scoring six goals
“It feels really good, I think I’ve had a bit of a slow start to the season in terms of scoring, but the girls keep on pushing me on every week
“The balls that the girls put across for me, I can’t really not score them.
“It’s a really nice feeling and I’m just glad to contribute where I can and help the team out.”
On what it would mean to win the County Cup
“It means a lot to us as a club, and we want to stay in as many competitions as possible.
“Any silverware is good silverware – last year we were disappointed by how we lost the game at West Brom, so it’s about righting that and making that push to get some silverware for the club.”
On the balancing of competitions
“We have so much strength in depth in our squad that it hasn’t really been that difficult.
“I think it’s been great to see so many people get so many minutes over the course of the last few weeks
“We can change people around and change formation and still be just as on it.”
On how exciting it is to begin the FA Cup campaign
“I’m really excited. We want to get as far as we can – Wolves have had a memorable few years in the competition.
“Rugby Borough is the first step in that [run]. I think we’ll be right on it.”
