Two 100% records go head-to-head in Telford as the sides face off in the FA Women’s National League.
Wolves have picked up two wins from two following victories over Stourbridge and Derby County, while Forest also have two from two after beating Stoke City and Sporting Khalsa.
Carly Davies’ side have scored 10 and are yet to concede so far this season, and they were also 6-0 victors against Notts County in the League Cup on Thursday night.
Despite their strong start in the league, Wolves were beaten by Stoke City in midweek, meaning the team will compete in the FAWNL Plate competition this campaign.
Wolves and Forest have enjoyed a fierce rivalry in recent seasons and drama has been aplenty – from league title wins on goal difference and last season’s meeting at the SEAH Stadium which saw Wolves come from three goals down to dramatically win 4-3.
Dan McNamara’s side will be without their captain on Sunday, as Anna Morphet serves a suspension following her sending off at Derby last week, however the team have been boosted by the return of Beth Merrick who re-joined on Friday little over a month after departing.
