Olivia Fergusson will depart Wolves Women this summer to complete a move to A-League side Wellington Phoenix.
After signing last summer, the 29-year-old went on to make 33 appearances and score six goals for the Old Gold across the 2023/24 campaign.
Following an offer from Phoenix, Fergusson’s footballing journey will now continue in New Zealand, who compete in Australia’s top tier of women’s football.
Manager Dan McNamara said: “This is an amazing opportunity for Liv. She’s only been here for one season but she’s made a fantastic impression on the club and fans.
“When those offers come in and with her being in the latter stages of her career, they’re not something you can turn down. She’ll go and experience a different culture, a different lifestyle and a different league which doesn’t come around very often.
“I’m delighted for Liv. She’ll go out and have an amazing experience out there. I’d like to thank her for all her contributions to Wolves over the last 12 months.
“She was a great addition and we’ll be following her journey closely from over here, and we look forward to seeing her have success in the Australian league.”
Meanwhile, Lexie Harrison and Meesha Dudley-Jones will also depart the club following short spells in Old Gold last season.
Signing in November 2023, Harrison made 10 appearances for Wolves, while Dudley-Jones played eight times following her arrival in January.
“With regard to Lexie and Meesha, they only came in for a limited amount of time but they played their part in last season’s successes,” McNamara continued.
“It was great to have them in and we wish them both the best of luck as they continue their footballing journeys in different environments.”
