Following last Sunday’s postponement, Dan McNamara’s side faced another weekend without a fixture in a period which has seen limited action.

The last time the Old Gold played was two weeks ago, where goals from Beth Merrick, Destiney Toussaint and Jade Cross sealed a 3-0 victory over Liverpool Feds.

Meanwhile, leaders Newcastle were in action at Stourbridge last week and further stretched their lead at the top to 12 points.

The Magpies are on the verge of securing promotion to the Championship, with their current record standing at 15 wins, one draw and one defeat from 17 matches.

Wolves are playing catch-up with fixtures having played five less than Newcastle and the least of all teams in the league alongside Halifax.

The two sides only faced each other last month at Kingston Park, with Newcastle running out 3-0 winners despite Wolves twice hitting the woodwork in the first half.
