Morphet | 'We're disappointed with the result'

Anna Morphet spoke on her disappointment with the 2-0 away loss at Nottingham Forest after ‘putting in a good performance’.

Forest found the back of the net late on in both halves after Wolves were reduced to 10 players after just 20 minutes. Morphet was proud that the side kept creating chances even with one less player and revealed the team are raring to get back out there to put last weekend's defeat behind them.

On her thoughts on the game

"Disappointed with the result, it was a really tough game. It is tough to take even after we went down to 10 men, we were still in it and creating chances.

"At the end of the day, though, it is a loss, and we didn't come away with any points but nothing but pride with how the girls performed today.”

On how going down to 10 affected the game

"It is always going to be difficult coming to a place like this, and obviously going down to 10; I thought the reaction was top class.

"It is always going to be difficult, but in the second half, once we sorted out what we were going to do, we still created chances and had a lot of the ball, so it's obviously difficult, but I thought the girls reacted really well.

On the mood in the dressing room

"We are disappointed, and it is even more disappointing because we put in a good performance and created chances.

"There is positives to take in everything. There is a lot of games left and some really important games.

"We know how tough this league is, so we will just keep chipping away at it and get back in training Tuesday and reflect on things."

On the upcoming FA Cup fixture against Stourbridge

"Looking forward to it, we love to be involved in FA Cup games, and we're back at home in front of our home supporters, so really looking forward to it.

"We all love a derby as it adds a bit to it, so I think after coming away with a loss, the next thing we want to do is get into the next game as early as possible, so we will be looking forward to it."
