Wolves Women make New Bucks Head bow this weekend

With just one week to go until the start of their 2022/23 FAWNL Northern Premier Division campaign, Wolves Women face Ipswich Town at New Bucks Head in their final pre-season friendly.

Dan McNamara’s side will play their first game since relocating to the home of AFC Telford United at 2pm on Sunday 14th August as the women’s first-team bring their pre-season to a close against the side from Suffolk.

The move to New Bucks Head comes off the back of a sensational season, which saw McNamara’s side crowned champions of the Northern Premier Division in what was their first year back at that level.

Ready to go again for 2022/23, the women’s first-team will make the Wellington-based stadium their new home having spent the last four seasons at the CKW Stadium in Castlecroft.

Having played their previous matches this pre-season behind closed doors, the Ipswich fixture will offer supporters their first chance to see the team in person ahead of the upcoming campaign, with Wolves season ticket holders gaining free entry to New Bucks Head on production of their season ticket smartcard on the gates.

For non-season ticket holders, tickets can be bought online in advance for a reduced price of £4 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for under-16s.

Payment is also accepted on the gate via card or cash, with entry costing £5 for adults and £4 for concessions. Gates open one hour before kick-off.
