An onslaught of Wolves pressure finally paid off as they took the lead in the 28th minute through a Haynes long range effort which flew past the 'keeper. That was the winger’s first goal since Wolves’ 6-0 win over Kingfisher in late September.

Wolves got their second nine minutes into the second half when some good pressure from Jade Cross set free her strike partner Andrea Barnett who had the composure to slot past the keeper.

Four minutes later Anna Price added a third after the ball fell nicely to her on the 18 yard line. Her powerful effort nestled nicely into the top corner.

Haynes nearly scored another long range goal after her curling effort from the right was pushed over the bar, this time by the Kidderminster keeper.

Substitute Jess Jennings then made it four with 13 minutes to go as Cross registered another assist for a simple tap in for the striker. She grabbed her second following a rebounded effort off the bar which she slotted under the keeper.

A Wolves clean sheet looked to be on the cards, but was cancelled out with five minutes to play following a fantastic free kick from Kidderminster’s number nine Amber Lawrence.

Other sub Nyah Edwards grabbed Wolves’ sixth and final goal - a well-placed finish into the bottom corner.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

This was Haynes’ opener without a doubt. Her left footed strike from 30 yards looked destined for the back of the net as soon as it left her foot. It came at the perfect time for Wolves as they were unlucky not to be in front prior to the goal.

QUOTES

Manager Dan McNamara was pleased with the impact of his substitutions. He said: “We spoke about what the subs can bring when they do feature and Jess [Jennings] has been asking me what she needs to do to get into the squad and she’s come on and done fantastically scoring two goals.”
