Wolves 1 (Angel 21’) 2 (Oriola 35’, 89’) Brighton
Wolves under-21s faced defeat against Brighton in the Premier League 2 at the Aggborough Stadium on Monday evening.
In an entertaining, yet challenging affair, Dani Angel’s superb finish was cancelled out by Nehemia Oriola’s penalty before the interval and the Brighton winger managed to earn three points for his side with a goal in the final moments of the fixture.
A tight opening 20 minutes meant chances were limited between the two sides but against the run of play, Angel’s powerful half-volley rifled into the back of the net to give Wolves the advantage.
For a brief moment, the crowd expected Harvey Griffiths’ audacious effort from distance to fly into the top corner to double Wolves’ advantage, but the strike narrowly missed the target.
Oriola got the visitors level from the penalty spot on the 35th minute, sending Alfie Brooks the opposite direction.
James Collins’ side continued to try and probe the visitors defence but failed to find a second goal before the break.

Wolves emerged from the tunnel and almost regained their advantage when Griffiths’ attempt from close range was scrambled off the line by Steven Hall.
The clock ticked on and the Seagulls began to build some momentum, but Alfie Brooks remained reliable when called upon for Wolves.
Moments later, Alfie White’s cutely curled effort from distance looked destined for the bottom corner but Hall managed to palm the effort away.
In the last moments of the game, Oriola got his second goal of the evening which earned all three points for Brighton.
