Wolves under-21s will begin their latest Premier League 2 campaign away at newcomers Burnley after the 2025/26 fixture schedule was confirmed.
This season, Wolves will face 20 of the 29 teams in the competition, playing each of those 20 teams just once, either home or away. At the end of the season, the top 16 teams will progress into the play-offs for the chance to be named 2025/26 Premier League 2 champion.
James Collins’ side begin their season on Monday 18th August when they head to the Leyland’s County Ground, the home to Lancashire County FA, to take on the Clarets – who are one of three new teams in Premier League 2 this season, alongside Birmingham City and Ipswich Town – before facing Stoke City at Aggborough Stadium on Friday 22nd.
A week later, Wolves are back at the home of Kidderminster Harriers where they will play host to Blackburn Rovers, before visits to Arsenal, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa. The Old Gold will also take on Leicester City and West Ham United at home before the Christmas break.
January will see Wolves host Manchester United and Sunderland while taking long trips to Norwich and Newcastle, before PL2 newcomers Ipswich Town, Brighton & Hove Albion, Reading and Chelsea head to Kidderminster.
Wolves will face Manchester City, Liverpool and Crystal Palace on the road in 2026, before finishing their Premier League 2 season away to Tottenham Hotspur on Friday 10th April.
As has been the case for the last two years, the top 16 teams at the end of the season will go into the PL2 play-offs, while new for 2025/26, teams finishing in 17th to 24th will compete in a play-off competition against the top eight sides from the Professional Development League.
Alongside their PL2 campaign, Collins’ young team will also compete in the Vertu Trophy, Premier League International Cup, Premier League Cup and National League Cup during 2025/26.
