Collins | 'We’ll keep learning and moving on'

James Collins has praised his young side after their 1-1 draw against RB Leipzig on Monday evening.

Tawanda Chirewa’s goal on the 59th was pivotal for Wolves’ draw.

Collins has remained positive and is excited for the players development going forward.

On the performance

“I thought we were excellent for the majority, we dominated the first 30 minutes.

“We conceded against the run of play and that was the first five to ten minute spell they’d had.

“We fought our way back into the game, scored a good goal and then I thought at 1-1 we could have had more control.

“It wasn’t played like kids football, it was played like men’s football. We’ll keep learning and moving on.”

On the resilience in the side

“We’ve been really unfortunate recently with our performances.

“I thought the boys kept going really well, maybe ran out of steam a little bit at the end but when you’re tired you have to defend your box and they did that well.

“You can’t complain about a one all draw against a strong European team on a really good night for us.

“It’s a good step in their journey.”

On what challenges Leicester City can bring

“Leicester’s always a tough opponent, and it’s always a very competitive game.

“The games are coming thick and fast but that is what they’re going into if they want to play league football.”
