Temple Ojinnaka believes Wolves under-21s were worthy of their point against Brighton & Hove Albion but admits there was disappointment to not take all three.
The Old Gold concluded their regular Premier League 2 season with a 1-1 draw at Aggborough and defender Ojinnaka spoke post-match on the performance, the response after conceding and facing Sunderland in the play-offs next week.
On the performance
“I think we had a good game and played well. It’s very disappointing to not get more out of the game but all of the lads worked hard, fought until the end and we’re happy with that.
“The result wasn’t the best because it was a draw but, in terms of performance, everyone played well and we all worked to the fullest. It’s good to finish the season like that and now we go into the play-offs – hopefully we can keep progressing.”
On responding after conceding
“As soon as we conceded, we all regrouped straightaway and got the goal. It’s very disappointing not to get another one, but that’s football.”
On playing Sunderland next
“Sunderland are very tough opposition and going up there will be a challenge, but we’re very confident we can go there with confidence and beat them.”
On his run in the team
“As I’ve played more, I’ve got more confidence and the performances kind of show that.
“Hopefully we can keep going and get far in the play-offs. We’ll go back to the training ground, keep working towards the next game and hopefully we’ll do well.”
