U21 preview | Spurs vs Wolves

Wolves under-21s travel to Tottenham Hotspur in their final Premier League 2 away game of the regular season on Monday evening.

Please note, due to Premier League broadcasting restrictions, Monday evening’s Premier League 2 fixture with Tottenham Hotspur will not be live streamed.

James Collins’ side face a Spurs team who were leading the way at the top of the table, before West Ham took top spot on Friday.

The Old Gold will be looking to bounce back following their first PL2 defeat of 2024 last time out, when Sunderland took all three points from Aggborough last Monday.

Prior to that, Wolves were unbeaten in seven league fixtures and were as high as fifth before recent results.

Coming into Monday’s encounter, Spurs sit second on 39 points while Wolves are currently in eighth on 30 points. With a play-off spot virtually secured, all eyes are on confirming a place in the top 12 which will guarantee International Cup football next season.

Tottenham, managed by Wayne Burnett, have lost just three league games all season and are in the semi-finals of the Premier League Cup.

Wolves also travelled to Spurs in April last season and a took a point home thanks to Ty Barnett’s 84th minute leveller which cancelled out Jamie Donley’s opener.
