Justin Hubner has been named in Indonesia’s final 26-man squad for the upcoming Asian Cup.
Hosted in Qatar, Indonesia are placed in Group D and will face Iraq, Vietnam and Japan in their fifth Asian Cup campaign.
Under-21s defender Hubner recently completed the process of receiving Indonesian citizenship after previously representing the country at youth level.
Born in the Netherlands, Hubner also played for his country of birth at U20 level but has now made his senior bow for Indonesia, where his grandfather was born.
Hubner was part of the pre-tournament training camp in Turkey where Indonesia faced Libya twice in back-to-back international friendlies, before heading over to Qatar for one final dress rehearsal against Iran.
Shin Yae-yong has now confirmed his final squad for the finals, with Hubner included in the 26-strong group who begin their campaign versus Iraq on Monday afternoon.
The defender is one of two players playing in England involved in the squad, with Ipswich Town's Elkan Baggott also hoping to produce on the international stage.
The competition gets underway on Friday as hosts Qatar go head-to-head with Lebanon at 4pm UK time.
