U21 preview | Stoke vs Wolves

Wolves under-21s travel to St. George’s Park to take on Stoke City in Premier League 2 on Monday evening.

Please note, due to Premier League broadcasting restrictions, Monday evening’s Premier League 2 fixture with Stoke City will not be live streamed.

James Collins’ side are on the road for the first time in 2023/24 following their season opener at Aggborough last time out.

Despite leading twice, the youngsters in old gold suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Fulham, who snatched a late victory courtesy of Martial Godo’s 96th minute winner.

Owen Hesketh and Justin Hubner were both on the scoresheet for Wolves, before being pegged back by the Cottagers on a dramatic evening.

Stoke also failed to pick up any points in their opening fixture, as Reading came away from St. George’s Park with all three points.

Jayden Wareham struck twice for the Royals to condemn Alex Morris’ side to defeat in their curtain raiser.

Last season, the two sides met at Aggborough in a Premier League Cup tie in which the Potters edged a five-goal thriller by three goals to two to progress into the quarter-final.
